What are Shed's policies on no-show fees, membership charges, and appointment management?

Updated this week

Shed provides clear policies regarding no-show fees, membership charges, and appointment management to ensure transparency and ease of use for our members. Below is a comprehensive guide to help you understand these policies and avoid unnecessary charges.

Overview of no-show fee policies

Shed does not charge no-show fees in the following scenarios:

  • Subscription cancellation: If your subscription has been canceled, you will not be charged a no-show fee for any scheduled appointment associated with that subscription.

  • Provider absence: If you were present for a scheduled video appointment but the provider did not join, you will not be charged a fee. Appointments are included in your membership, so there is no separate fee for the visit.

  • Cancelled appointments: If you cancel an appointment, you will not be charged a fee, even if you still receive an automated reminder about the appointment.

  • Appointment time confusion: If there was confusion about your appointment time and you attempted to reschedule, you will not be charged a no-show fee. Sharing details about the rescheduling attempt can help the team investigate the issue.

  • Membership charges: The $125 charge corresponds to your Shed Membership. There are no additional payments required for missed appointments.

Steps to avoid no-show fees

To avoid no-show fees, follow these steps:

  1. Check your account: Confirm whether a virtual appointment is scheduled by logging into your account.

  2. Cancel if necessary: If an appointment exists and you no longer need it, cancel it through your portal’s scheduling area.

  3. Verify cancellation: Ensure the appointment is marked as canceled to avoid any confusion or charges.

Shed understands that unexpected situations can arise. If you believe you were charged a no-show fee in error, or if there was confusion about your appointment, contact Shed’s support team with relevant details to resolve the issue.
