How does pausing my subscription affect billing and deliveries?

Updated this week

Pausing your subscription can be a helpful option if you need to temporarily stop charges and deliveries. Below, we outline how pausing works, its impact on billing dates, and what happens to deliveries during the pause period.

Overview of account pauses

  • You can pause your subscription for up to 3 weeks. This pause period starts either from your current billing date or the day you initiate the pause, depending on your preference.

  • Pausing is particularly useful if you need time to obtain medical clearance from a specialist or for other personal reasons.

Impact on billing dates

  • A 3-week pause moves your next billing date forward by 21 days. For example, if your billing date is scheduled for a specific day, the new billing date will be 21 days later.

  • If you start a pause today, billing will resume exactly 21 days from the start date.

  • If the pause begins on your next billing date, the subscription resumes after the selected pause period, and charges will occur on the new billing date.

Delivery adjustments during pauses

  • Pausing your account will stop the delivery of any future orders during the pause period. If you wish to avoid pausing deliveries, you can opt to delay your billing date instead. To delay billing for up to 2 weeks, contact the Member Success Team by emailing [email protected], or through your Shed Portal here:

Special considerations

  • If you need time to meet with a medical specialist for approval or other health-related reasons, pausing your subscription can provide the necessary flexibility. The pause period of up to 3 weeks is designed to accommodate such needs.

By understanding these guidelines, you can effectively manage your subscription and ensure it aligns with your personal or medical needs. If you have further questions, feel free to contact our support team.
