This article explains how pricing, cancellations, refunds, pauses, and special circumstances work for members on a multi-month Shed plan. If you have questions at any point, our support team is here to help.

Pausing your subscription

If you need a break from your program, you can pause your subscription rather than cancel it. Pauses are designed to be flexible while keeping your plan intact.

How pauses work

You're entitled to one pause per subscription, for up to 21 days. Your subscription term is extended by the length of the pause — you don't lose any value, and no refund is issued during the pause. Your remaining plan picks up right where it left off.

Pause requests must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled shipment. If you request a pause within 48 hours of your next shipment, the current shipment will go out as planned and the pause will apply to the following cycle.

Your medication during a pause

Any medication already in your possession stays with you. Your next shipment is held at the pharmacy until the pause period ends.

Cancelling during a pause

If you decide to cancel while paused, the standard cancellation policy applies. Access ends at cancellation, and a refund is only issued if you have unreceived medication cycles remaining.

Second pause requests

Standard plans include one pause per subscription. A second pause isn't available as a standard option, but if you have an unusual circumstance, please reach out to our support team and we'll do our best to help.


Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancelling ends your access to the program. Whether you receive a refund depends on how much medication you've already received — a refund is only issued for cycles you haven't received yet.

How your refund is calculated

The months you've already used are repriced at the standard month-to-month rate. The difference between what you paid upfront and that repriced amount is returned to you.

Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method. If you paid with an HSA or FSA card, the refund returns to that account.


Minimum commitment

All multi-month subscriptions include a 2-month minimum commitment, regardless of how you pay.

What this means for you

If you cancel within the first 2 months, you won't be eligible for a refund. You do, however, retain access to the program for the remainder of that 2-month period.


HSA and FSA

Shed accepts HSA and FSA cards as payment for multi-month subscriptions.
