This article explains how credits and gift cards work, when they may be issued, and how they can be used.
Credits
When credits may be given
In some situations, a credit may be issued to your account.
Examples include:
If medication isn't shipped due to incomplete actions (such as a missing refill form or a required visit), we may issue a credit at our discretion.
If you're approved for a different medication than the one originally selected, your payment will be issued as a credit and applied toward your new checkout.
If medication is not shipped due to your failure to complete necessary actions (such as submitting a refill request form or attending a required visit), that month remains ineligible for a refund. However, at Shed’s discretion, you may be eligible for a credit toward a future month’s shipment once the required actions are completed and your subscription remains active.
If you have made payments but have not received shipments due to incomplete appointments or requirements, Shed may credit those payments to your account for future use, provided you complete the necessary steps.
Credits are generally offered as an alternative to refunds when the terms and conditions do not allow for a refund, especially if the lack of shipment is due to member inaction. Credits cannot be used for Shed supplements and are only eligible for prescription medication prescribed by a provider.
Credit rules
Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value.
Credits will appear in your portal after they have been applied. Once the payment goes through, you will also see the credit applied on your invoice.
You can view any applied credits in your Shed portal under the Account page. Once you have logged in to your portal, visit https://portal.tryshed.com/account to view your credits.
Important: Credits are not guaranteed, and subscription fees are generally non-refundable once charged. Gift Cards
Shed gift cards can be used through the Shed website or Shed's Shopify store when ordering supplements.
Gift cards can be used for all Shed supplements, but are not able to be used towards prescription medication. If there are remaining funds after using a program, these can be issued as a gift card for supplements.
When gift cards may be issued
If you cancel your subscription and are not eligible for a refund under Shed’s terms and conditions, you may be offered a gift card for the total amount paid. This gift card can be used on supplements and premium health coaching instead of receiving medication shipments.
If you have remaining payments or orders after cancellation, the value of those may be issued as a Shed gift card that you can use toward supplements.
If you cancel after being charged but before receiving a shipment, the team may issue a Shed gift card for the remaining payments for supplements.
Gift cards are typically offered as an alternative to refunds or medication shipments.
You can use gift cards for Shed supplements and premium health coaching, but they cannot be used for prescribed programs such as the Semaglutide Starter program.
