Refill Overview
Your provider will determine the best approach for keeping your medication on track. This may include:
Virtual follow-up visits – to check your progress, review side effects, and adjust your plan if needed.
Asynchronous refill request forms – in some cases, you can submit an online request without a live visit.

1. Follow-Up Visits
Some patients will need a virtual appointment before their refill is approved. This depends on:
Your provider’s preference
State-specific requirements
Your personal progress and health status

If eligible, you may be able to complete a secure online refill form instead of scheduling a visit.
Your provider will review your submission and determine if a refill can be approved without a visit.
This helps maintain care while avoiding unnecessary delays.

Provider-determined cadence – Your provider decides how often you need follow-ups or refill check-ins.
Automated reminders – You’ll get text/email reminders when it’s time to act.
Complete steps promptly – Delays in completing required steps can delay pharmacy shipments.

Log in to the Shed Portal and schedule your follow-up visit, OR
Complete your refill request form, OR

Requesting a Dosage Increase
Eligibility
You must be on your current prescription for at least 2 weeks before requesting an early increase.
Requests made earlier than this will not be reviewed.
How It Works
To request a dose increase in your portal:
Log in to your Shed Portal at portal.tryshed.com
Navigate to My Treatments → Manage My Subscription → Request a Medication Change
Complete the form with your desired dosage, current weight, and reason for the change
Submit your request - our team will review your chart and dosing schedule
You'll receive an update within 1–3 business days once your provider reviews your case. Remember, your subscription will be paused until the provider visit is completed.
If Approved
You’ll receive a confirmation message via the portal.
If your program changes (new pricing, new plan details, etc.), our team will walk you through next steps.
If no program change is needed, your chart will simply be updated, and your next order will reflect the adjustment.
FAQs
Why can’t my dose automatically increase with each refill?
Because each patient responds differently. Providers adjust only when it’s safe and beneficial.
What if I still feel hungry or don’t see progress after a few weeks?
GLP-1 medications work gradually. It’s common for results to take time. You may schedule a virtual visit with the provider to discuss any concerns or questions you may have.
Can I adjust the dose on my own?
No. Dosage changes must be provider-approved to avoid side effects and ensure safety.
How long does an early increase approval take?
Most requests are reviewed within 1–3 business days. You’ll be notified through the text or email.
