How to Request Nausea Medication through Shed

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Shed providers can prescribe medications to manage nausea, including new prescriptions or refills for previously prescribed options. All prescription requests require provider review and approval.

Overview of Nausea Medications

Shed providers can prescribe anti-nausea medications such as Ondansetron (Zofran) or other clinically appropriate alternatives. These prescriptions are intended to help manage nausea symptoms related to your program or medication regimen.

Ways to Request Nausea Medication

1. During Your Program or Medication Request

While filling out your initial program or medication request, indicate any nausea concerns in the section for additional information for your provider. Include details like symptom frequency, severity, and any triggers.

2. Between Visits or Refills

If you need a refill or a new prescription between scheduled visits, contact Shed Support through your Shed portal. The provider will review your request and, if approved, the member success team will send you a link to purchase that medication.

Scheduling a Provider Consultation

If your nausea requires evaluation before prescribing medication, you may need to schedule a virtual appointment with your provider:

  1. Log in to your Shed portal.

  2. Navigate to Schedule.

  3. Select Submit Information or Schedule Appointment.

  4. Complete any prompted questions about your symptoms.

  5. Schedule your appointment at a convenient time.

Providers will review your symptoms and medical history to determine the safest and most effective medication option.
